Free letter B page for preschool: B is for Butterfly

This free page from our letter tracing workbook shows a big outlined Bb and a smiling butterfly to color, because B is for butterfly. Simple shapes and thick lines make it easy for little hands.

It is made for ages 3 to 5 and pairs well with letter tracing practice at home or in preschool. Use it to talk about the letter B and the sound it makes.

Ideas for learning the letter B

• Say the sound together: b, b, butterfly.
• Look around the house for other things that start with B: ball, banana, book.
• Trace a big B in the air with your finger, then on paper.
• Keep it short and fun. A few minutes a day is plenty at this age.
